The Attendance All-Stars are a pupil-led team who are passionate about helping everyone at Barcroft understand why every school day matters.

Our All-Stars will be positive role models who encourage their friends and the wider Barcroft community to attend school regularly, arrive on time and make the most of every learning opportunity.

Our Aim

We want to improve our whole-school attendance and work towards being above the national average of 96%.

What will the Attendance All-Stars do?

Promote attendance

• Encourage pupils to understand why every school day matters.
• Share positive attendance messages around the academy.
• Help develop fun attendance rewards, incentives and challenges.

Celebrate success

• Celebrate pupils and classes who have excellent attendance.
• Recognise pupils who have improved their attendance.
• Help make attendance something we can all feel proud of.

Support our pupils

• Talk to other pupils about the importance of coming to school.
• Listen to friends who may be finding it difficult to attend.
• Encourage pupils to seek help from a trusted adult if something is making school difficult.

Lead attendance assemblies

• Help deliver an Attendance All-Stars assembly once every half term.
• Share attendance achievements, challenges and positive messages.

Meet and make a difference

• Meet with a member of staff once every half term.
• Discuss attendance across the academy and suggest ideas to help more pupils attend every day.
